| Note | Central Presbyterian Church baptisms are to be found on Microfilm GS2985. The baptism record gives William Paul Buchanan's date of birth as 31 August, 1898. His birth registration shows his date of birth as August 30, 1898. The 1901 census says the same. William Paul Buchanan was known to his family as Paul. He served with the Canadian Army in England during the First World War. He became a medical doctor and practiced in Detroit. A card index for the American Medical Association states that he died in Detroit on 16 October, 1955. Dan Buchanan, Paul's father, died while visiting with Paul in Detroit in 1933. |
