| Note | After Margaret Colvin's death in 1870, John Flanagan remarried on 14 August 1873 to a Margaret Bell of Glen Morris. He was 32 and she was 25. By this time, while still a wagon maker, he appears to be living in Paris. The known children of Margaret Colvin and John Flanagan are shown in this tree. At the time of the 1881 census daughters of his first marriage, Agnes, Jessie and Margaret are with them in Paris, as well as children of his second marriage, Arthur 6, Edith 3, and Annie 1. It's interesting to note that at the time of the 1871 census in South Dumfries, John Flanagan, with his children Agnes, Jesse, and Margaret, lived not far from the Colvins. He was also enumerated immediately next to the Bell family, of which Margaret, age 24, was a member. With the Flanagans was Isabella Lee, age 59, born in Scotland. She is evidently taking care of the children. Death reg. 008154-24 Paris, Brant Co. John Flannagan (or Flanagan) died March 30th, 1924. Place of death Willow Street. Age 87.
