| Note | As mentioned in notes under Mary Ann's husband Hugh, we have no death registration for either Hugh or Mary Ann. For Mary Ann, however, we do have a funeral notice. This appears in Norma Huber's 2001 work which was done on behalf of the Waterloo Region branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. It notes the death of Mary Ann Roberts, the wife of Hugh Fairgrieve, in North Dumfries on Monday, Dec. 30th (1889) at 3 o'clock. The notice is dated December 31st and advises that the funeral will be the following day (January 1st, 1890) at 2 o'clock from the family residence and the funeral party will travel from there to Mountview Cemetery in Galt. |
