Burial Westover Cemetery, Feb 11, 1930.

Jacob's death registration places his burial in Westover Cemetery. There are two cemeteries in Westover, one of them the Baptist cemetery. Since in his later years Jacob was a Baptist, it's logical that this was his place of burial. The difficulty with this is that transcriptions of either Westover cemetery to not show a Woodley gravestone.

Jacob was in Ponoka, Alberta, at the time of the 1916 western census and his wife Jane is with him. He is shown as a retired farmer, born Switzerland, and coming to Canada in 1856. He is still in Alberta at the time of the 1921 census, but is shown as a widower. If Jane is buried there, it may be that his remains were ultimately returned there for interment and that the statement of the Westover burial on the death registration was premature.

The 1891 farmer's directory for Wentworth County/Beverly Township shows Jacob Woodley on concession 6, lot 23, of Beverly. His post office address is shown as Westover. This information is the same in the 1895 Farmer's and Business Directory for several counties, including Wentworth, as published by the Union Publishing Co., of Ingersoll.
