Informant Jacob Woodley, farmer, Beverly. 'None' frequently appears in place of the name of a physician. Many registrations were filed by mail and a simple explanation may be that a physician or midwife was in attendance but the name was never filled in. The 1910 U.S. census in Ballona Township, Los Angeles County, California, Harold T. Woodley, age 29, born Canada, father born Switzerland, as a farm hand. At the time of the 1921 census, Harold T. Woodley, born Ontario, father born Switzerland, is in Calgary with wife Sarah. No children are present. According to a transcription of Zion Hill Cemetery in Ancaster Sarah Waugh appears to be the wife of Harold T. Woodley. A marriage registration has not been found and they may have married in Alberta. Sarah Waugh, in Zion Hill Cemetery, was born in 1881 and died in 1960. The website for Interment.net did a transcription of this cemetery and the information given shows the death date for Harold not 'cut' in the stone, but dates his death to July 4, 1962. If this is correct, it is obviously from another source. |
