| Marriage | He married Margaret Misener, daughter of William Misener and Annie Dell, in October 1870. |
| Death | He died on 5 August 1909 at Willoughby Township, Welland Co., Ontario, at age 69. |
| Note | The 1871 census in Willoughby Township is the one census where we find Joseph and Margaret recorded together. The 1871 census was begun in April of the year and the enumerator recorded that Joseph and Margaret were married in October of the previous year. Beyond this, marriage information has not been found. Joseph and Margaret are evidently with his parents, Joseph and Esther. Young Joseph has siblings present in the household, but he and Margaret do not as yet have children though we may record three in not long thereafter. Joseph may have married again - there is some evidence. A Joseph Willick married an Anna Schiel in Willoughby in 1882. The name given on the 1882 marriage record for his mother does not agree with the 1871 census nor does his age. Joseph died in 1909 and the informant was Andrew Willick, almost certainly his son by his marriage to Margaret. Death reg. 030681-09 Willoughby Twp., Welland Co. Joseph Willick died August 5th, 1909, at lot 16 in the 9th concession of Willoughby. Born Welland County. Date of birth Feb. 27th, 1840. Laborer. Parents Joseph Willick, born Germany, and Esther Boyer, born Welland County, Ont. Physician Dr. Buell. Informant Andrew Willick, Black Creek. |
