A Morse Funeral Home index, as provided by the Niagara Region branch of the Ontario Geneaogical Society, shows a funeral for the 'late wife' of Mr. Martin Heximer on 13 August, 1896.

The Willoughby United Church Cemetery was originally attached to the Evangelical United Brethren church and the cemetery at the time was so named.
