| Note | Death reg. 046134-45 Brantford Township, Brant Co. Sarah Elizabeth Wood died August 7, 1945, in Brantford Township. Residence R. R. 3, Brantford. Length of stay at place of death 21 years. Widow. Born Wentworth County on February 2, 1861. Age 84 years, 5 months, 5 days. Husband Samuel Wood. Parents Walter Misener and Deborah Sager, both born Wentworth County. Physician Dr. Gould. Informant Goldwin Misener, R. R. # 3, Paris, brother. Burial Troy August 9, 1945. Sarah may have died in Brantford Township; the death registration certainly says so. There is, however, a 1945 alphabetical list of voters for Brantford City wherein most of the voters reside at R. R. # 3, Paris. Goldwin Misener resides there as well as a Mrs. Sarah Wood, widow. Since this list is alphabetical, it isn't possible to say that Sarah resided with her brother Goldwin, though this may be the case. The rural route number will be a postal address. Paris is in South Dumfries but quite close to the border of Brantford Township. That Sarah is buried in Troy Cemetery is probably correct, though a record of a gravestone has not been found. No record has been found to indicate that Sarah had children. |
