Charles' birth was registered in Windham Township of Norfolk County. His marriage registration places his birth in Kelvin. This was originally in Burford Township of Brant County, but sat on the border of Windham Township. The post office moved across the road and by the time Charles was born, technically, Kelvin was in Windham Township. Certainly, the Kelvin Cemetery is in Windham Township. Charles' father was a clergyman and may well have lived in Kelvin, or Kelvin may simply have been a postal address.
