Elizabeth is buried in Woodland Cemetery, Guelph, with her husband and two granddaughters. A transcription of Elizabeth's gravestone shows her age as 89 yrs., 7 mos., 24 days. This makes her vastly older than available census information. This makes her age at time of death, 66, on her death registration more than reasonable. The error on the transcription probably is caused by a worn stone, or even possibly a typographical error. Finally, though Elizabeth's place of birth as shown on her death registration is the United States, the 1851, 1861, and 1871 censuses shows her place of birth as Canada. |
