MarriageShe married John McIntyre
DeathShe died on 21 February 1884 at age 70.
BurialShe was buried at Pelham Hicksite Quaker Cemetery.
NoteGeorge's son, Joseph William Husband, married Frances Tyrell in December of 1861 and gives his age as 21. He shows his mother as Mary Phayer - the handwriting is questionable, but, all considered, it seems reasonable Phayer is what was intended. The next child in order is Mary Elizabeth Husband and she married James Fuller in 1863. She shows her birth place as Pelham Township, but her residence as Gainsborough Township. Her parents are shown as George and Susan.

Susan, or Susannah, the wife of George Husband who died circa. 1846, is still living as of the 1851 census as taken in Gainsborough Township in Lincoln County. She is evidently married to John McIntyre, a tailor and Roman Catholic, age 46. Susannah is shown as age 35. With them is David McIntyre, age 12, born approximately 1840. Next in order is May E. Husband, age 10, and Hannah Husband, age 6. Also present is Charles McIntyre, age 2, and almost certainly Susannah's child by her second marriage.

The 1861 census in Gainsborough again shows John McIntyre as a tailor and Roman Catholic, but the rest of the household is shown as Quaker. Gone from the home are Susan's Husband daughters, but present are Charles, age 12, Joseph, age 8, and Alexander, age 5.

The 1871 Gainsborough census shows John and Susan with sons Joseph, age 18, Alexander C., age 14, and a Harvy Fuller, age 7. 'Harvy', or Harvey, is evidently Susan's grandson by way of her daughter Mary.

The pages of the 1881 census are out of order. John and Susan, ages 74 and 68, are at the bottom of page 41. Page 42, when found, shows also in the household Joseph McIntire, age 27, and Alexander, age 24. With Alexander is evidently his wife and though her name is ill-written, she is Prudence, age 17. With them is a daughter, Mary, age 11 months.

A death registration for Susan has not been found, however she died on 21 February, 1884, for her gravestone in Pelham Hicksite Friends Cemetery reads:

Susan McIntyre died Feb. 21, 1884, Aged 70 years, 10 mos.

Her birth is calculated approximately from the information inscribed on her gravestone, which is taken from a transcription provided by the Niagara branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society.

Hannah Husband Brown's death registration shows her mother's name as Susan Hughie. Alexander McIntyre's 2nd marriage registration shows his mother as Susan Huie. For the moment, we will enter Huie, but Hoowee, or Howey, or something very like it, is a probability.

As a further note. Such information as has been recently added to this tree so far as the Hoowee family members herein are concerned is thanks to the Canadian Friends Historical Association. They have transcribed monthly meeting records as held by the Canadian Quaker Archives and Library in Newmarket, Ontario. These are provided freely and are available on their website: https://cfha.info/transcriptions/
This is a valuable resource.

They have a transcription of the Yonge Street Monthly Meetings, 1806-1879, which provides us with some information for Susanna Hoowee.

In a minute entered for a meeting dated 14 April, 1831, addressed to the Pelham Monthly Meeting of Friends, it states that she resides within in the limits of the Pelham Meetings. She has a certificate from the Younghall (Youghal) Monthly Meeting in Ireland recommending her.
