| Note | Peter's marriage registration shows his place of birth as North Easthope Township. and here appears there in the 1851 census (begun in January of 1852). The enumerator has written the family name as Klab, but, unquestionably, this is the family. The family is still there as of the 1861 census. Here, the family name is shown as Glebb. Peter is age 10 and has a brother, Valentine, age 8, and sisters Cathrine and Mary, ages 5 and 3, respectively. As of the 1871 census, he is in Wilmot Township of Waterloo County with his parents and siblings. His first wife was Catherine Cook, or Koch (Koch appears to be correct) whom he married in 1875, and she died in 1886 of consumption. He married Christina Harbach in 1890. As of the 1891 census, Peter is shown as being resident in North Easthope Township. He was certainly there earlier, however, for as of January 1st, 1883, he was postmaster of the village of Lisbon in this township, a post he held until May 30, 1890. By the time of his marriage in October of 1890, he is resident in Wellesley Township, apparently in Wellesley Village, and he was there as of the 1891 census. He apparently remained there until at least the time of the 1911 census. As of 1921, Peter and Christina are residing on Louisa Street in Kitchener, but by the time of Peter's death in 1929 they are on Bricker Street in the Town of Waterloo. Christina was still resident on Bricker Street as of 1940, per Vernon's City Directory for Kitchener-Waterloo. A record of Christina's passing has yet to be found. Death reg. 036137-29 Town of Waterloo, Waterloo Co. Peter Glebe died November 15th, 1929, at his residence, 11 Bricker Ave. Married. Age 79 yrs and 4 days. Born at Lisbon, Ontario, on November 10, 1850. Length of residence at place of death five years. Parents George Glebe and Anna Wegfard, both born Germany. Physician Dr. F. F. Zwick of Waterloo.
