Born Southowram, Yorkshire, England. Parents John and Elizabeth Farrar. Jane Tilt, 22, spinster, Christadelphian. Born and residing Waterloo Township. Parents John and Caroline Tilt. Witnesses: Irwin Watson and Bella Tilt, both of Township of Waterloo. On June 27th, 1877, at Township of Waterloo, by Rev. George Haigh, Pres. Min. By License. George Haigh was the Presbyterian minister for the two-point charge of Doon and Hespeler. Bit of a guess, but the marriage was probably held in the vicinity of Doon, perhaps at the Tilt residence. The couple are shown as both being Christadelphian. The marriage by a Presbyterian minister probably had to do with convenience of location. The name of William's birth place was not immediately decipherable. Between baptism information as well as an internet search it becomes identifiable. |

| Note | The 1943 Vernon's Directory for Hamilton shows Jane C. Farrar, widow of William, at 753 Main St. East. Nowhere has information been found as to Jane's middle name. At a guess, it might have been Cosens, but...that's a guess. |
