Informant Thompson Sherwood, merchant, Fergus. Signature of registrar William Ross. The only locality confirmed is that of Wellington County. Even though the above does not directly say so - this registration was an early example - indeed we may find in later months that William Ross was the registrar for Fergus. Also, the following baptism record leaves no doubt that Alice was born in Fergus.
