     Laura M Breen was born in 1908.1 She was the daughter of John James Breen (1870-1945) and Mary Kelly ( 1868-1947.)2 She married Francis Michael Carty, son of Henry Joseph Carty and Elizabeth Dunn.1 Frank and Laura succeeded Henry and Elizabeth on the family farm located at 212 Franks Road just south of Elgin. That farm was in the Carty family from 1909 until it was sold by Frank's son Michael in 2003.3 She was left a widow when Francis Michael Carty died in 1979.1 She died in 1990.1 She was buried in St Columbanus Cemetery, Elgin, Leeds & Grenville County, OntarioG.1
