     Rose Gertrude Joyce was born on 25 January 1897 in Frontenac County, Ontario.1,2 She was the daughter of Thomas Lawrence Joyce and Mary Regan.1 She was baptized on 12 March 1897 in St Barnaby's Church, Brewer's Mills, Frontenac County, Ontario.2 On 20 June 1924 Rose travelled to Detroit, Michigan. She indicated that she was a nurse intending to stay with her brother Michael for four months to do post graduate work.3 She married Dr James M Snider on 1 October 1925 in Monroe, Monroe County, Michigan.4 She died on 1 April 1974 in Marysville, Union County, Ohio, at age 77.5,6 She was buried in St Johns Catholic Cemetery, Marysville, Union County, Ohio.5

Rose's obituary appeared in the Journal-Tribune, Marysville, Ohio, on 4 April 1974.7
