     Hannah Matilda Jones was born in 1831 in Troy, Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.1,2 She was the daughter of James Jones and Hannah Goodale.1,3 She married first Wesley Wedge in 1846.2 She was left a widow when Wesley Wedge died on 11 September 1854.4 She married second Thomas Fleming in 1856.2 She and Thomas Fleming adopted Orpha Electa (--?--) before 1871.5,6 She was left a widow when Thomas Fleming died on 5 June 1896.7,8 She died on 3 February 1898 of grippe and pneumonia in Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.9,8,7 She was buried in Troy Cemetery, Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.7

Hannah's obituary in the Hamilton Spectator, Hamilton, Ontario, on 9 February 1898 read:
"FLEMING (Rockton) - Mrs. Thomas Fleming, widow of Thomas Fleming, died at her home near the village on Thursday. Deceased was an old resident of the township and was highly respected."8
