NoteWe know little of Rebecca Lawrason. See, however, the 1879 book about her son Robert entitled Father Corson by Rev. John Carroll. On page 3 Robert's mother is described as a 'stiff Church of England woman'. (Robert's father is described as 'an irreligious man'.)

Nothing ressembling death or place of burial information for Rebecca has been found. The one direct record that has been found indicates that Rebecca was still living as late as 1808.

Commissioners' Books, A Reconstruction of Land Records Destroyed in the War of 1812, Mayholme Foundation, October 2012, St. Catharines, essentially provides a precise as well as sort of index to the original Commissioners' Books for the Niagara District. To these Mayholme had access. We may view the pages as they appear on microfilm GSU 170143. The Commissioners' books are in two volumes and are for the Niagara District.

Page 117 of the Mayholme book shows a reconstructed transaction for lot 22 of the 3rd concession of Clinton Township. This is the sale of this property on 13 January 1808. It was sold by Daniel 'Carson' and Rebecca his wife of Clinton to Jonathan Bell of Clinton. Of course, this is Daniel Corson and Rebecca. So we must believe that as of this date Rebecca was still living. (The page numbers as they appear on the microfilm of Vol. 2, are 236 and 237.)
