|Death||She died on 1 October 1874 at Stamford Township, Welland County.|

Martha Heaton Lemon died Oct. 1st, 1874, age 66. Farmer's wife. Church of England. Born United States. Informant Dr. Lemon of Thorold.
A place of burial for Martha has not been found. She may well be buried with her husband John in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church cemetery, but the transcription done by the Niagara Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society in 1991 does not show a record. Nothing is found in the work of Janet Carnochan who does transcribe a few graves in the cemetery, but evidently has not done a complete work. As well, nothing is found in Dr. Reive's work. It is evident, from the available index, that Morse & So Funeral Home handled Martha's funeral. The Morse records from this era do not typically shows the place of burial.
