| Note | Familysearch provides us with a transcription from a database of births for Iowa. The microfilm is FHL 1,428,657. From this we have the date of Frank's birth, 7 November, 1883, in Alta, Buena Vista Couty, Iowa. As mentioned in the notes for Alfred, Frank Coleman Muma's father, Frank was at Kindersley at the time of the 1921 census. Since, for the present, this is the last census available to us for reference for some years, we may at least fall back on voters' lists as presented by Ancestry. It readily becomes apparent that there are several persons by the name of Frank Muma. That they have with them a Mrs. Frank Muma is no help. The 1957 voter's list is quite useful, however, for it places Frank and Isabel Muma at R. R. 1, Troy. With that in mind, it's reasonable to say that Frank and Isabel were at Troy as early as the 1940 voters' list, for they are there as Mr. and Mrs. Frank Muma, but also with them is George Muma. According to the 1921 census, George is their son. They have not been found in the 1935 voters' list, which is the earliest available. Considering that both Troy and Kirkwall, their place of burial, are both in Beverly Township, we must believe that they returned from Saskatchewan to Ontario, probably prior to the outbreak of the Second World War. |
