Witnesses James Rannie of North Easthope and Elizabeth Hutchison of Wellesley.
On November 23, 1874, at North Easthope, by Rev. John J. Cameron, M.A.

The date that the clergyman submitted the record of marriage for George and Elizabeth is not shown, but the township clerk did not submit the record until the end of the first half of 1875 - the end of June. For which reason, the Archives of Ontario has the marriage registered under 1875.

George's surname is spelled with one T on the marriage registration, but with two T's in most records. This includes the family's gravestones in Palermo Cemetery and so 'Wettlaufer' is the spelling used here.

DeathShe died on 25 March 1915 at Trafalgar Twp., Halton County, at age 63.
BurialShe was buried at Palermo Cemetery, Trafalgar Twp., Halton Co..
NoteElizabeth almost certainly had a second given name. A middle initial appears for her name on some of the birth registrations for her children - sometimes R, or B, or once actually spelled out as Violet.

Elizabeth Rennie is shown as age 1 (supposedly as of her next birthday) at the time of the 1851 census in North Easthope Township, Perth County. This census wasn't typically performed until January of 1852.

In 1861, she is shown as being age 9, again supposedly as of her next birthday. She is with her parents in North Easthope Township.

By 1871, the enumerators were to ask the present age of the person. The 1851 census was begun in Upper Canada 12 January 1852; the 1861 census began 14 August; the 1871 census began 2 April.

In April 1871, Elizabeth is shown as 19.

Elizabeth Rennie married George Wettlaufer on November 25th, 1874, and she is shown as 23.

In 1881 the couple and their children were still in North Easthope.

Son James Angus Louis Wettlaufer was born February 17th, 1890, in North Easthope. His mother was living in Wellesley when on July 8th of the same year she registered his birth as being in North Easthope. Since the family is living in Wellesley Township by the time of the 1891 census, it's likely that they moved to Wellesley between February and July of 1890.

By 1901, the couple have moved again and are in Trafalgar Township of Halton County. Elizabeth is shown as 50 and her date of birth is shown as June 22, 1851.

In 1911, she and George are still in Trafalgar.

Elizabeth died in March of 1915 at Trafalgar Township. She and George are buried in Palermo United Church Cemetery. This is otherwise simply known as Palermo Cemetery. The village of Palermo is some distance from the physical city of Oakville, but it is now shown as being in Oakville, which is a part of the Regional Municipality of Halton.
