The only information that we have for the marriage of Daniel Anderson and Cristina McPherson is to be found in Warner & Beers History of Brant County. Page 650 tells that they were married on 6th March, 1834. This brief paragraph does not tell us where, but since the biography tells that the Anderson family came to Canada in 1825, they were probably married in the Dumfries Township area. Certainly the death registration of son John tells that he was born in (South) Dumfries in 1835. |

| Note | She Death reg. 001634-86 South Dumfries Twp., Brant Co. Christy Anderson died 15th May 1886. Age 70. Farmer's wife. Born 'Scotland'. Presbyterian. Physician and informant A. J. Sinclair, M.D., Paris. With some confidence we may say that Christy did not died on the 15th of May, but on the 8th. Her name and date of death appears on the family's gravestone in Maus Cemetery in South Dumfries and this states that she died on the 8th of May. Gravestones can certainly have misinformation, but an index provided by the Brantford Library shows that her notice of death appeared in the May 14th, 1886 edition of the Brantford Weekly Expositor. Reasonably then, we may say that the death date as entered on the death registration above is errored, a clerical error at some level. Also, Christy, or Christina, was not born in Scotland, but in Genessee County, New York.
