3rd great-grandfather of Faye Louise Doyle
William Misener was born on 2 October 1779 in Sussex County, New Jersey. He was the son of Peter Misener and Mary (--?--). He immigrated in 1799 to Stamford Twp, Welland County, Ontario, from New Jersey with his father.3 He married first Mary van Sickle. He married second Margaret Miller before 1803. He married third Catherine Maziers after 1826. He was naturalized on 18 March 1841.4 He died in 1859 in Jersey Settlement, Ancaster Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.

Ancaster's Heritage gives a somewhat different list of children and dates.

Ray Morrish, in The Misener Family in New Jersey and Canada, says William had 10 children in each marriage. Morrish also says William's first wife (unnamed) and infant child died in Canada shortly after their arrival.1,3
