June Hall was born on 1 June 1912 in Magrath, Alberta. She was the daughter of Orson Hall and Maria Hall.1 She married Deral Reid West, son of Curtis Andrew West and Iona Larson, on 22 December 1933 in Taber, Alberta. June reminisced about her childhood Christmases in a letter to her grandchildren. Then in the 1990s she wrote a short story of her life.
She died on 22 February 1998 in Magrath, Alberta, at age 85.2 She was buried on 25 February 1998 in Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond, Alberta. At the family reunion in 1984, we buried a time capsule. June and Deral recorded a message to be placed in the capsule. That recording can be heard here.
