June Hall

      June Hall was born on 1 June 1912 in Magrath, Alberta. She was the daughter of Orson Hall and Maria Hall.¹ She married Deral Reid West, son of Curtis Andrew West and Iona Larson, on 22 December 1933 in Taber, Alberta. June reminisced about her childhood Christmases in a letter to her grandchildren. Then in the 1990s she wrote a short story of her life. She died on 22 February 1998 in Magrath, Alberta, at age 85.² She was buried on 25 February 1998 in Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond, Alberta.

At the family reunion in 1984, we buried a time capsule. June and Deral recorded a message to be placed in the capsule. That recording can be heard here .
