Brant County branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society provides a transcription of the marriage records of Grace Anglican Church in Brantford for the years of 1830-1872. This is publication number 242. See page 22. This records the marriage of Edmund Burke Wood, barrister at law, to Jane Augusta Marter, both of Brantford, on 10th April, 1855, at Brantford church. The marriage was by license. The witnesses were W. Rubridge and T. Mackie. |
| Note | See notes for Jane's older sister Henrietta. Jane Augustua Marter Wood may have died in 1925. The Brantford Library indexes births, marriages and deaths from the Brantford Expositor. They show a death for a Mrs. Jane A. Wood in the edition of Feb. 20, 1925. This has not been further researched. She does not appear to be buried in a Brantford cemetery. |
