| Note | As mentioned in notes for husband Matthew Bennett, a place of burial for Thankful has not been found. Also not found is direct evidence that tells Thankful's maiden name. Find-a-Grave has not found a place of burial for Thankful, but says her maiden name was Hamilton. This is within the realm of possibility, for she had a great grandson named Thomas Hamilton Husband. Still, more evidence is being sought.
There is a Mary Bennett, 1800-1890, the wife of Jacob Van Norman, buried in Salem Cemetery, Nelson Township. Find-a-Grave maintains that she was a daughter of Matthew and Thankful. This is entirely possible, even probable. |
