John Jordan was born on 1 April 1835 in Ballindaggan, Templeshanbo, Co Wexford, IrelandG.1,2 He was the son of Michael Jordan and Mary Farrell.3,4 He immigrated to South Crosby Twp, Leeds County, Ontario, with his parents Michael Jordan and Mary Farrell between 1845 and 1847.5,6 He married Johanna Nolan about 1865 in South Crosby Twp, Leeds & Grenville County, Ontario. He was a farmer in 1871.7 He died on 14 January 1911 of cardiac insufficiency in South Crosby Twp, Leeds & Grenville County, Ontario, at age 75.8,9,10 He was buried in St Columbanus Cemetery, Elgin, Leeds & Grenville County, OntarioG.9

Research Note: According to the 1901 census, John immigrated in 1860, however, this date must be a mistake as John and his family are found on the censuses of 1848 and onwards.1

Research Note: I have assumed that Michael Jordan, Mary Farrell, and their children were born in Ballindaggin, Co Wexford because their daughter Margaret's tombstone says "native of Ballindaggin, County Wexford, Ireland."2
